Lelush [DEMO]
A downloadable game for Windows
FREE THE FOREST
Everything was peaceful before the mushroom invasion. They took our friends, infected them and turned them against us. To whoever's still left - there's still hope. Please, stop hiding. We are stronger together. We will win this fight.
We still have the planet's core in our favour. It makes us stronger. Listen to the music and feel the rhythm. Attack only when you're strongest. Don't panic. We already lost too many souls.
ATTACK TO THE BEAT
Welcome to Lelush, a rhythm based metroidvania game where everything attacks to the beat. As Lelush, your goal is to free the world of hostile mushrooms and destroy the hivemind connection. You won't be able to save those who are already lost.
But you can always save those who are willing to fight. Get out of your cave and regain your strength. The entire world depends on your success.
CONTENT IN DEMO
The demo version features ~10 to 15 minutes of gameplay, along with the tutorial level, village and small part of first location. The demo features 3 enemies and a boss fight, 2 different attack variations and all of planned movement features.
FEEDBACK
We really appreciate feedback at this stage of the project. If you found a bug, didn't like the game at all or did enjoy everything we provided, please feel free to comment under this game page.
Known bugs:
- Sometimes the enemies are leaving their platforms.
- The boss animation sometimes doesn't change from idle to movement at the start of boss fight.
- When pressing left mouse button and jump at the same time, player just goes through both animations without jumping/attacking
- Player fall animation doesn't work when falling from run/walk state.
- The SFX's are of poor quality. We will change that soon, but we had to make our own SFX's.
- Dash animation doesn't alway trigger.
- Boss doesn't regenerate HP after player dies.
- Player sometimes doesn't fully regenerate HP.
FURTHER DEVELOPMENT
We plan to continue the development in August. Since we don't have any budget, we are trying to continue with all we have, so it might take a while until we release an update to the game. Currently we're in prototype stage and gathering feedback. After that, we will move to production and try to provide frequent updates.
We plan to start with the list of currently known bugs and continue with level design to provide more content. More enemies will be featured as we progress with level design, currently we have a total of 8 different enemies planned for the location in demo.

Hi LegitCheems
Played the game on stream. It is definitely a great starting point. Just need to focus on the core concept. Right now I can see a lot of inspiration but it needs be more streamlined.
overall, looking forward to the next version of the game

Hi Alan,
First of all, huge thanks for taking your time and trying out the demo. I understand that for now it's kind of a feature creep and has a lot of systems which might not work well together, our goal was to try and see which ones players will enjoy, focus on those and remove or change the rest.
We are planning to go more for a classic metroidvania combat without the rhythm part for player character, giving players more freedom, maybe keeping the rhythm part for enemies so enemies only attack on beat.
Again, thanks for playing the demo and your feedback.
